According to reports, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will be returning to the X Factor judging panel with a nice hefty pay rise.

A source has revealed that the former Girls Aloud star will pocket and extra £500,000 for making a return to the hit ITV talent show.

An insider told The Sun: “Cheryl knew she was in an incredibly strong position because Simon was desperate to get her back."

Things aren’t looking as good for fellow judges Mel B and Louis Walsh.

Just days after Louis claimed he was ‘done’ with the show, the insider says that his future with the X Factor is uncertain.

They said: “Mel and Louis almost certainly aren’t re-signing, but Simon knows Cheryl is a huge draw.”

The X Factor will return to our screens later this year, with new hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs replacing former presenter

Dermot O’Leary, who announced he had left the talent competition earlier this year.
