Prior to their departure, Kensington Palace tweeted: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge will be leaving St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington this evening.

George has now returned to Kensington Palace

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their daughter will travel home to Kensington Palace.

“Prince George has now returned to Kensington Palace.

“Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank all staff at the hospital for the care and treatment they have all received.

“They would also like to thank everyone for their warm wishes.”

Prince George arrived at the hospital for a brief visit to be introduced to his new baby sister earlier today.

He gave an adorable wave to the cameras and waiting press, proving that he has his royal etiquette perfected already.

It is not yet known what Kate and William have named their newborn daughter, but news of a name will be revealed within the coming days.
