After eight years together, The Saturdays have reportedly decided to go their separate ways.

Sob.

According to The Mirror, Mollie King, Una Foden and Vanessa White are all set for solo music careers.

Frankie Bridge, meanwhile, is preparing to give birth to her second child, and Rochelle Humes is said to be concentrating on her career as a television presenter.

A source told the newspaper: "Una, Mollie and Vanessa are all really excited and a bit nervous about releasing their solo material, but it’s been a long time in the pipeline."

They went on to add that, while the girls will remain a band, they are all happy to work on their own solo careers from this point onwards.

The source explained: “The girls are still a band, but they’re all happy to work on their own solo projects.

“It means there’s no animosity or frustration between them – it’s a set-up which works really well.”

The chart-topping fivesome have yet to issue a statement on these rumours.
