Writing in an exclusive blog for HuffPost Parents, the former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star tells her 10-year-old son Maximillian and daughters India, 9, and six-year-old Poppy that she won’t ‘always be here’ to look after them.

“We know Mum's doctor says her epilepsy will get her one day,” she tells them firmly - before going on to list eight valuable pieces of advice that she wants her children to follow as they grow up.

This ranges from telling her offspring to avoid to girls (‘they’re weird… find some boys to hang out with’) and to always smile at their enemies (‘ill-will makes you stronger’).

Katie also tells all three of her children that they may end up kissing ‘boys, girls or both’, but if they want to get hitched they should ask themselves if they will look back in five years and ‘look a right twat’ in their wedding dress’.

But most of all, she says, she wants her children to continue to ‘find the fun like we do; to dance in your kitchen, to wear pants on your head because leg holes make great eye holes and eat chips in the rain’.

She finishes firmly: “If you forget all this, that's OK. Mummy made some royal cock-ups well documented on Google, but has no regrets and wouldn't change a single thing.

“Especially not the three of you.”

The letter makes for emotional reading - and seems to show a far softer and more vulnerable side to Katie Hopkins than we have ever seen before.
