Following the success of Maleficent and Cinderella, Disney are reportedly planning a live-action movie all about everyone’s favourite fairy, Tinkerbell.
And who better to play the part of the mischievous fairy than Reese Witherspoon, eh?
According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, the Wild actress is attached to star and produce in Tink, an upcoming live-action film based on the beloved Peter Pan character.
Apparently the flick will "play with the idea and the timeline of the well-known Peter Pan Narrative”, to give us the back story to his most faithful companion… and maybe go some way towards explaining why she tries to bump off Wendy when she first meets her!
The movie is still in development and has no timetable for production, but with the success of live-action reboots like Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent and Cinderella, Tink has some major box-office potential.
Throw in a script from Victoria Strouse, not to mention a little faith, trust and pixie dust, and you have (wait for it!)… pure magic.
Roll on the official announcement, already!
