Prince William has been seen leaving the hospital, with reports claiming he is picking up son Prince George so he can meet his new sister.

Kensington Palace released an Instagram clip of the new dad where he is seen telling crowds: 'Just going to pick up George'.

The 21-month-old is currently at home whilst his parents privately bonded with their new daughter.

Since it was announced earlier today that the Duchess of Cambridge had given birth to a baby girl, all eyes have been glued to those famous doors at St Mary’s Hospital Lindo Wing.

Kate Middleton went into labour earlier this morning and delivered a healthy daughter at 8.34am.

Kensington Palace tweeted: “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am.

“The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.

“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales & The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry & members of both families have been informed

“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”

The world’s press has been camped outside the famous hospital awaiting the first glimpse of the new princess.
