Following Caitlyn Jenner’s sensational transition, Brody Jenner has admitted he gets along much better with his father now.
Caitlyn, 65, her in May, by appearing on the cover of Vanity Fair and son Brody, 31, has discussed their relationship.
Speaking to E!, Brody said: “[We] get along a little more because Caitlyn is actually who she really is, and she’s living her life finally now as the person she always was.
“Caitlyn is a much freer, happier person and I think that’s very special, and I think that the most important thing is that people who are in that situation, don’t be afraid to be yourself.
“And if you’re not accepted by your family, there will be people who will accept you.”
Former The Hills star Brody and Caitlyn’s relationship has had its ups and downs, documented on family reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
In 2013 Body confessed: “The way I see Bruce with Kendall and Kylie and Brandon [his siblings], I’m actually so happy for them.
“I think Bruce is an incredible human being and I think that Bruce is a great father, he just wasn’t a great father to me.”
Following former Olympian Caitlyn’s split from Brody and Brandon’s mother Linda Thompson in 1984, they had little contact with their father.
But, thankfully, Brody and his father seem to be rebuilding their relationship.
He told Extra this week: “Bruce and I never had the greatest relationship growing up. Caitlyn has been really fun to be around.”
