David Beckham has proved himself as every inch the doting father, in this latest snap from his instagram account.

The former England footballing ace posted a black and white image of himself with a newborn Harper, to celebrate the little one's birthday.

He wrote next to the candid image: “Possibly my favourite picture of Harper of all time... 4 beautiful years with the most amazing little girl... Happy birthday big girl…”

Can you believe that little Harper is four already?

Since retiring from professional football, the 40-year-old has taken on full-time parenting duties whilst wife Victoria focuses on her hugely successful fashion brand.

In a recent interview on American television, David said: "I'm literally an Uber driver. I take them from seven in the morning to schools, I have four drop offs, four different schools.

"It's nice to actually be at home and spend time with them and be a taxi driver. The younger one obviously loves me taking her to school. The two smaller boys, they love it, apart from my middle son Romeo.

"He's 12 and he's just started. As soon as I take him into school I go to kiss him and he turns his cheek, so I will then pick him up and give him a bear hug and kiss him in front of his friends.”

We can’t imagine David EVER being an embarrassing dad!

It’s not only Romeo who shows sass towards his famous dad, but young Harper is also keen on taking the Mickey out of the dad-of-four.

David explained: "My little girl turned around to me the other day – I had just bathed her and I was towelling her down, and she said, 'Daddy I love you so much. But I don't like you, you're so chubby.”

Happy birthday, Harper!
