Max Branning is, thanks to his daughter Abi, currently locked away in prison for a murder he didn’t commit.
And, at the end of Tuesday’s episode, we saw Jake Wood’s character phone up his one-time fling (and late son’s wife) Stacey to tell her that he knew who Lucy’s killer REALLY was.
While plenty of us thought that Bobby Beale was finally going to go doooooown for his crimes, it seems as if max may have pointed the finger at someone else.
Yup, he totally thinks Abi killed Lucy on that fateful night.
And who can blame him?
Bad Abi’s alibi is more than a little shaky, she beat up Lucy on the night she died, AND she’s definitely been flexing her dark side for over a year now.
It doesn’t take long for Max to have Stacey persuaded, and she soon decides to get to the bottom of matters in a bid to free her former lover.
But, when she takes Abi aside to coax information from her about her whereabouts on Good Friday, Abi loses it.
Will her violent outburst convince Stacey of Abi’s guilt?
And, if Max truly does believe his daughter is guilty, will he take the fall for her? After all, jake Wood IS gearing up to take a year long break from the soap…
