And in the wake of their split, the 32-year-old has been accused by her husband of having a five month affair with her personal trainer, Ben Bate.
After announcing that their marriage had broken down last week, Labour MP Simon Danczuk has now started divorce proceedings - after Bate was seen sneaking out of his former family home (where Karen is living) on Friday morning.
‘The next step is to divorce as fast as possible. I thought we’d be together for the rest of our lives’ said a devastated Simon.
‘I could live with her taking selfies all the time - I liked the new sexy Karen, I was pleased she lost weight.’
‘I’ve had numerous conversations with her about whether she’s having a relationship. It’s clear now they are.’
But Karen, who has 61K followers on Twitter, took to the social network to deny the claims, saying she was ‘disgusted’ with the story.
‘Pure lies! I know truth, he knows truth!’ she wrote on Sunday.
Earlier in the weekend Karen thanked her fans for their love and support, as she laughed off rumours of her affair.
‘OMG in a modern world men & women can be friends without there being more!!! One of my BFF is male. I must be having an affair there to! (sic)’
