EastEnders viewers haven’t seen scheming Aunt Babe for a while now.

But Annette Badland’s character is set to make a comeback when the Carter clan discover that she’s stolen Stan’s ashes.

Cue Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White), Shirley (Linda Henry) and Mick (Danny Dyer) heading off to track her down.

And their search leads them to a lonely caravan park in Ramsgate… as well as a suspicious looking photo album.

However, when Shirley picks up the album, Babe reappears herself as she rushes in to snatch it away - before begging the siblings to let her come home with them.

When they refuse, she reveals that she needs to come clean about what happened to Mick as a baby.

Sitting down with them at a local cafe, Babe begins to open up - but when she mentions Heather Trott's mum Queenie, a suspicious Shirl leaves.

Later, after putting two and two together, Shirley confronts Babe about her big secret - and, disgusted by what she hears, Shirl is soon taking matters into her own hands...

But just WHAT will Babe’s ‘dark’ confession be?

Speaking with Inside Soap, Danny Dyer explains: "It will be interesting to see where they go next as Mick has always had a lot of love for Babe.

"But what he finds out about her is a huge revelation. It's a shock and very dark!"

He added that the secret COULD spell out a reconciliation for Mick and Shirley.

"I think that what goes on in Ramsgate has to lead to some sort of resolution for Mick and Shirley," he said.

"Mick really wants to have a proper relationship with her, but while Dean is still around, it's impossible for him."

EastEnders continues tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
