Man and woman ‘fall to their deaths after having sex on castle walls’

The pair, who were both in their early thirties, apparently fell from the walls surrounding the castle at Vauban Fort - found on the Chausey Archipelago in the English Channel.

Reports confirm that the naked bodies of a man and woman were found in the moat surrounding the fortress on Thursday morning.

Their belongings were found 40ft above, next to the walls.

Due to their state of undress, and where their belongings were found, French authorities have suggested the couple may have died after engaging in ‘lovemaking that could have gone wrong.’

The pair were found in shallow parts of the moat, with the woman being submerged in shallow water.

The couple were both from the Normandy region of France and were born in 1984.
