The 30-year-old singer, who split from husband Chad Kroeger earlier this month, uploaded several snaps of her in her Doctor’s surgery, including one of TWELVE vials of her blood.

‘On my way to good health’ wrote Lavigne, alongside the hash tags ‘#TakingCareOfMyself #FuckLymeDisease.’

In another, a casual looking Avril can be seen sat in the Doctor’s surgery, alongside the caption: ’This journey continues…Just reach up, don’t gove up until you’ve touched the sky…We were all meant to fly.’

Just two weeks ago, Avril took to her Instagram page to announce she was separating from husband of two years, Chad Kroeger.

The Nickleback frontman wooed Avril whilst they were working on her album in 2012, marrying a year later in the south of France.

Sadly, their union didn’t last, with Avril writing on September 2nd: ‘It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today. Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we’ve created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for one another.’

‘To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support.’

Lavigne and Kroeger’s marriage can’t have been easy, given that the star was diagnosed with Lyme disease less than a year after their wedding.

‘I literally became bedridden last October’ she told ABC news this year.

‘This is my second shot at life. I really just want to go out there and truly do what I love. So I'm so excited for life after this.'
