Weddings are a beautiful excuse for family and friends to get together - but, for children of broken families, it can be incredibly stressful.

Who should, for example, walk a bride down the aisle; her father, or her step-father?

At Brittany Peck’s wedding, the father-of-the bride Todd Bachman was all set to walk his little girl down the aisle.

But, halting the ceremony, Todd went to fetch Todd Cendrosky, his little girl’s stepfather, so that they could walk her down the aisle together.

After capturing the emotional moment, talented photographer Delia D Blackburn shared the images on Facebook, where they have received over a million likes.

She wrote: “Grab tissues... because you will need it as you look through these pictures.

“Todd Bachman, father of the bride, brought his daughter to the beginning of the aisle... he stopped the procession while people were confused at his actions and he walked up to his daughter's stepfather.

“Todd reached out his hand and grabbed Brittany's stepfather and pulled him down the aisle to walk their daughter down the aisle together.

“NOT A DRY EYE at the ceremony… including me!”

She added powerfully: “Families are what we make them, so make it about your kids and not your ego.

“Congratulations Todd Bachman on showing your kids what true love really is...love for your children.

“Please share so that we can spread kindness throughout!”

Has anyone else got something in their eye all of a sudden?
