But this year Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Rita Ora seem to be getting along just fine – and it’s been reported the problem is between the men, Simon Cowell and Nick Grimshaw.
According to sources, Simon, 55, is ‘tired’ of 30-year-old Nick’s indecisiveness, and snapped at him during the six-chair challenge.
The insider told The Sun Simon said: “Just sit someone down!”
During tonight’s episode Nick will be absent while Simon, Cheryl, 32, and 24-year-old Rita try to decide who take with them to judge’s houses.
Suggesting there’s a bit of bad blood between him and Nick, Simon admits: “This feels better, doesn’t it.” However he quickly adds: “Just kidding.”
Later in the show, when the judges consult Nick via Skype, Nick’s inability to make a quick decision annoys Simon again.
He slams the laptop shut, fuming: “I’ve had enough…”
An X Factor spokesperson has dismissed reports of a feud between Nick and Simon.
They told the newspaper: “There is no issue between Simon and Nick.
“Simon’s actions were in jest and he has recently recorded something for Nick’s radio show.”
