With his good looks, confidence and dapper dress sense, 16-year-old Brooklyn Beckham stole the spotlight at the US Glamour Awards last week as he accompanied his mum Victoria – presenting her with a Fashion Force accolade.
Posh even cracked a rare smile on stage as she embraced her eldest son who, with his 4.9m Instagram followers and celeb pals, including Selena Gomez and Harry Styles, has cemented himself as a star in his own right.
And while the designer paid tribute to husband David, who was in Argentina last week shooting a TV documentary, saying he “inspires me every single day,” it was Brooklyn who was her man of the moment.
Now sources tell Closer that with husband David, 40, spending an increasing amount of time working away – amid reports of strain within their 16-year marriage – Brooklyn has been stepping in as moral support.
A source reveals: “David has been travelling so much with work and Brooklyn knows how much his mum dislikes going to events alone, so is always the first to offer to join her. He’s really protective of her, particularly as there have been rumours about her and David struggling, and she can rely on him to support her when she’s feeling nervous or shy at events.”
