Former One Direction star Zayn was spotted holding hands with supermodel Gigi over the weekend, after several intimate dates in the last few weeks.
But fans were quick to criticise the American model, 20, for the speed at which she moved on from her ex of five months, and began a new relationship with Zayn.
Striking back, Gigi wrote: ‘Sometimes life just happens.. For whatever reason in whatever timing. And sometimes it doesn't make sense till it does. That's it.'
Continuing, Gigi wrote: ‘'If there was a real way to sit with each one of you and tell you my side of things, I would. But there's not, so I won't. I've found the only way to happiness is by living as though the microscope isn't there.'
After getting together with the Jonas Brother’s star at the beginning of the summer, Gigi ended the relationship this autumn, then hooking up with One D’s Zayn.
And despite seemingly confirming the relationship with her tweets, Gigi quickly had a change of heart and deleted her comments, before posting a picture of a beach scene with the word ‘chill’ on it.
