Gordon, 48, posted a snap from twins Jack and Holly’s 16th birthday celebrations and was criticised for ‘allowing’ his girls to wear short skirts.

Alongside the picture of Jack, Holly and his other children, Megan, 17, and 14-year-old Matilda, he wrote: “Very cool 16th birthday party @heddonstkitchen last night congratulations Jac & Holly #prouddad [sic].”

Despite the criticism, Gordon received support from many others – and he responded to one positive message: “Like they have the right to suggest what our daughters wear… hilarious What next… [sic].”

Taking to Twitter to address the comments, Gordon added: “Sick minded people. My job is to teach my son how to respect girls [sic].”
