Celebrity Diet Secrets: Emilia Fox
Monday 20 April 2009
Actress Emilia Fox, 34, tells us what's in her fridge
Where do you shop?
At Waitrose and London's Borough market.
What is your typical daily diet?
Breakfast is coffee, a glass of orange juice and Dorset muesli with pomegranate seeds and soya milk or yoghurt. Lunch is fish with veg and then for dinner I'll have a prawn or chicken salad with watercress, avocado, seeds and olive oil. I rarely have a pudding, but I'll have chocolate sometimes.
What's the most unusual ingredient in your fridge?
Chanel No 5 perfume - it makes it last longer!
What won't you eat?
I can't stand baked beans - it's torture to even think of eating them!
Which three foods would you take to a desert island?
Ribena, pomegranate seeds and sausages - because they're easy to cook.
What's your favourite comfort food?
A bar of chocolate, especially when I'm curled up with a book.
Nutritionist Catherine Matthews says:
"Emilia has an excellent diet full of monounsaturated fatty acids, which are found in olive oil, seeds and avocados and help to lower bad cholesterol. Baked beans are great sources of protein and fibre so it's a pity that Emilia doesn't like them - she could try disguising them in a casserole to get them into her diet."
