Three pregnancies in one morning!

There has been news of three star pregnancies all in one morning. The first being Edith Bowman, announcing that she is three months pregnant with her first child. The 32-year-old Radio 1 presenter and her partner – Editors front man Tom Smith described it as the best Christmas present they could have wished for.
The second star pregnancy is pop star Lily Allen who reportedly found out she was expecting last month. It will also be the first child for the 22-year-old and her Chemical Brother boyfriend Ed Simons, 37.
But the biggest shocker of all is Jamie Lynn Spears – who at the tender age of 16 has announced her three-month pregnancy.
The news is said to have come as a complete shock to Jamie Lynn and her boyfriend Casey Aldridge, whom she met in church.
The sixteen year-old took a home pregnancy test before telling one close friend her news. She said, “I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision…then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me. It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected. I was in complete and total shock and so was he."
Sources are also saying that Britney Spears had no idea about the pregnancy, even though the two sisters were once very close. A source said, “This is going to kill Britney…but in the end she’ll be supportive, but it is a big shock.”
Nickelodeon, the children’s television channel that produces Jamie Lynn’s show, Zoey 101, also released a statement saying, "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."
Even though Nickelodeon are being supportive at the moment, it does not look good that their star girl is going to be an unmarried teenage mum, especially as the popular show is watched by thousands of kids, some as young as eight.
There will also surely be another blow to come – as the age of sexual consent in Louisiana, where Jamie Lynn and her family live is 17 and Jamie is just 16.
