Andy Scott-Lee’s top Valentine’s tunes
Thursday 07 February 2008
We asked Andy Scott-Lee, who releases his new single Unforgettable next week, for his thoughts on some of the top love albums out this Valentine’s Day
Real Love
This album is fantastic. It’s a 2-disc CD featuring the top pop artists around at the moment, mixed in with some of the best classic acts!
Definitely one Michelle and I would listen to on a cosy Valentine’s night in…
Real Love is very contemporary with acts like Take That, Nicole Scherzinger and
Sugababes on it. It’s great because it takes you through a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs. From Akon’s ‘Don’t Matter’ to Wet Wet Wet’s number one ‘Love is all Around’ and the up-beat ‘This love’ from Maroon 5, to the tear-jerking ‘Love is a Losing Game’ from Amy Winehouse, who I think is just amazing.
You also have your sing-a-long classics from the legendary Barry White and Jackson 5, giving you a taste of that ‘retro’ Valentines vibe.
This is a great double album, with every mood on here for a Valentines Day soundtrack that gets the thumbs up for a Valentine’s present!

Essential Acoustic Love
Another lovely compilation with some beautiful tracks, this compilation of classic acoustic love songs offers a much more chilled out vibe.
The classic line up of love songs includes Simon & Garfunkle, Van Morrison and The Byrds. My favourite track on this CD is Chuck E’s in Love by Ricky Lee Jones, as it has that really uplifting, feel-good vibe that you get when you have just fallen in love!
This album is perfect for those romantics out there. Just don’t float too far away on the clouds of love!
