Little Miss Showbiz with Mark Owen

BRITS '08: Universal bash

Friday 22 February 2008

For me the highlight of the Brit Awards came just after watching Amy Winehouse give a hair-raising comeback performance from the side of the stage, bumping into the lovely Mark Owen, who stopped for a chat and a picture.

While still proudly clutching a Brit Award, we chatted about Take That scooping both Best British Single and Best Live Act.

“It’s so exciting. We’re definitely going to be celebrating tonight,” he told Closeronline.

And he even took a moment to remember the one-time fifth group member:  “I love Robbie and there will never be any hard feelings between us about anything.”

We watched Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue and Rihanna peform from the side of the stage while stars like Leona Lewis, Davina McCall and Nicola Roberts walked by.

I even bumped into Sarah Harding in the girls’ loos and we caught up while we touched up our make-up. She was having such a great time she kept forgetting to watch the show. She told me, “I can’t believe I missed Kylie. There are just so many people here I want to talk to all I’ve been doing is yabbering away all night!”

Billie Piper and her new husband Laurence Fox were popping out all night for cheeky cigarettes on their first public outing since the wedding on New Years Eve. Billie looked absolutely gorgeous and her and Lawrence looked very loved up and happy.

The stars were all quite well behaved though and there were no diva tantrums or drunken brawls. The Klaxons frontman Jamie Reynolds tried to keep the rock 'n' roll spirit alive and was drunkenly led away by a pal from the awards hall, insisting he was fine as he wobbled on his feet.

I also have a new celebrity crush – The Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Myers. He gave me a kiss on the cheek and honestly I will never wash that side of my face again – he’s absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately he also looked very happy with his girlfriend!

We ended the night at one of the official after-parties in West London’s Neighbourhood where Sean Lennon, Alice DeLall and Daisy Lowe danced the night away, but after all the excitement of meeting Mark Owen I had to call it a night!
