Joe Swash axed from Eastenders
Monday 25 February 2008
Once again, EastEnders is keeping us supplied with juicy off-screen gossip. After the boozy bust-ups of the Albert Square Ladies, now soap hunk Joe Swash, 26, has been sensationally axed from the show.
Producers have decided that they have run out of storylines for his popular character, cheeky Mickey Miller.
During the shock meeting it was also revealed that Swash’s on-screen stepdad, played by David Spinx, 57, will be written out of the BBC1 show too.
Joe joined EastEnders in 2003 and become popular amongst viewers who enjoyed watching Mickey’s antics.
It hasn't been a great start to 2008 for the actor, who broke up with the mother of his eight-month-old son Harry, Emma Sophocleous, only last month.
