Karl denies fashion encourages anorexia

Karl Lagerfeld is never one to mince his words when it comes to fashion and size zero. After slamming H&M for making his clothing range available to larger girls in 2004, he has now rejected the idea that the fashion industry encourages girls to diet.
Karl said: “Anorexia is nothing to do with fashion. Let’s talk about the 25 per cent of girls who are overweight- less than one per cent are skinny.”
Having recently labelled the minute and clearly ill Amy Winehouse a “style icon” we can’t help but wonder if Lagerfeld’s a few halterneck’s short of a collection.
