Fears for Mark's safety

The family and friends of Mark Speight have launched a desperate search for him after he was reported missing yesterday. Worried pals say that Mark has been completely destroyed since the death of his fiancée Natasha Collins.
His mother first raised the alarm after he didn’t show up to meet her in Covent Garden as they had arranged. Two policemen later saw him and questioned him because he appeared “distracted and deep in thought”.
A police spokesman said: “The officers offered the following options- call an ambulance, speak to a doctor, attend hospital, or speak to an officer on a one-to-one basis. He declined all offer and said he needed to leave. Mark was not listed as missing at that time so no further action was taken.”
Mark and Natasha’s family are deeply concerned that Mark was feeling suicidal and last night issued this statement: “Because of his fragile state of mind, we and all of his friends are deeply worried. We would urge Mark to get in touch. We just want to know he is safe.”
