Mark Speight found hanged

Kids’ TV star Mark Speight was found hanged at a railway station yesterday after vanishing six days earlier.

Police believe that Mark’s body hung undiscovered for that time in the roof space above Paddington station.

Mark became depressed after the death of his girlfriend Natasha Collins. A pal said: “It was all too much. He couldn’t cope.” Before he disappeared Mark told his friends: “How will I ever get through this? I loved her so much. She was my soul mate and best friend rolled into one. I want to end it all.”

A Network Rail source said: “His body was discovered in the roof where the joists are. He was certainly not visible to anyone on the ground.”

Mark’s family are in a state of shock and his Dad Oliver told reporters: “He was a wonderful son and brother to his family.

“He’ll be very sadly missed.”

Mark’s agent, Mark French said: “When he first went missing, I hoped he’d gone off to deal with it in his own way.

“But obviously it got too much for him and he couldn’t cope. It’s very sad. It would’ve been great if he could have pulled it round. But I knew he was in a bad state.

I spoke to him a few times and he just wasn’t there.”
