Cynthia Nixon's battling breast cancer

Cynthia Nixon has revealed that she is fighting breast cancer having been diagnosed 18 months ago.
Cynthia said she has remained silent about the disease until now because she “felt scared”. The SATC actress even admitted she’d had surgery on Sunday to avoid missing a single performance of the play she’s currently starring in, adding: “That’s just how I am.”
Speaking about how her girlfriend was coping Cynthia said: “My girlfriend was the one doing the eating. She was in a panic- and just trying to calm herself down any way she could.”
Cynthia revealed that her kids do know about the cancer and that she was impressed by how the Sex and the City writers handled Samantha’s breast cancer battle saying: “It was beautiful. Like, leave it to Samantha to make a party out of cancer.”
