Sort out your exercise attitude

I spent most of my life believing that exercise was the devil's work. I was someone who would take a cab to the fridge given half the chance but now I feel sluggish and terrible when I haven’t exercised and full of energy to go about my business when I have.
For me it is no longer just a case of losing weight but actually feeling fitter. The first thing to realise is that exercise can actually be fun. Try something different you haven’t tried before. Find someone to join you in a quick jog round the park, a dance class or some aqua aerobics will give a focus to your routine.
Exercise DVDs are a wonderful way of getting into shape without the embarrassment of taking to the streets or the gym. My exercise DVD ‘the new me’ workout is for all abilities and all sizes and can be realistically done in your own home. It starts with some gentle dancing and finishes with the full abdominal workout. There are a few simple moves that you can do anywhere. Stretching your arms out straight and rotating clockwise and then anti clockwise 20 times is a simple way of firming up and you don’t need a personal instructor there to help you. Or just walking quickly up and down the stairs a few times will get your legs going.
Try to make yourself do 10 minutes of some kind of exercise you like a day, I promise you, once you’ve managed 10 you will do 20. Starting is the hardest part but once you have before long you will happily be at the recommended 30 minutes a day.
