Keeping fit on weekend breaks and holidays!
During Holidays you want to enjoy yourself but at the back of your mind you also don’t want to undo weeks of hard work for a few days indulgence. If you are the kind of person like me who likes to take the opportunity on a break to do as little as possible then it is time to try to give your personality a revamp.
Actually time away is when you are relaxed enough to make real changes. Away from your daily grind, which may be reminiscent of bad habits, the holiday or mini break is the ideal time to try something new. So make it physical!
Decide right from the start when you are packing to include some comfy clothing. You don’t have to pack the full gym kit, but shoes you can walk in or a swimsuit will counter the excuses once you’ve arrived. Holidays are adventures, so go for it.
At resorts there are always sporty activities on offer so don’t shy away, even if you just get up a bit earlier than everyone else and do a few lengths of the pool you would have earned your breakfast and it will make you feel brilliant. Sightseeing and even shopping are wonderful ways to use up energy. It is amazing how long women will walk and carry heavy bags for without ever thinking it is exercise. Just remember to try to leave out the full fat cappochino break and the Danish pastry and you will be on course.
At the end of the night I am the kind of person who likes to dance, so grab someone available and kick up your heels. After all you are on holiday!
