Wayne and Coleen are married!!!

Aww… Coleen McLoughlin and Wayne Rooney finally tied the knot in Italy yesterday, and Closer feels all aglow with goodwill and best wishes.

The Scouse childhood sweethearts got wed at the registry office of the beautiful fortress of Villa Durazzo, and the lovely Colleen couldn’t help but shed a few tears throughout the twenty-minute ceremony (insert your own joke about marrying Wayne Rooney here).

The newlyweds and guests then went on to the stunning former monastery La Cervara to be blessed in a chapel and exchange the rings.

The couple said their own vows in a service conducted by an Italian priest and another from their hometown of Croxteth, Liverpool (hmm, we wonder what Wayne’s said, hehe).

Afterwards it was off to the reception for speeches, pizza and booze. Wayne apparently welled up as he thanked his “stunning wife and bridesmaids”- aww…

The best man decided to play it safe and didn't mention young Rooney’s seedy antics from the past, but focused on Coleen’s schoolgirl crush on Wayne instead.

Living up to her reputation as a shopping addict style icon, the bride seemed to be on great form with a rumoured three outfit changes throughout the big day. We just can’t wait for the pics!!!
