HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR SHOWBIZ!
Monday 16 June 2008
Birthdays are always a lot of fun. Especially in my case.
I decided to throw a mammoth party to celebrate my 28th birthday last week and my good friend Alice Wilson offered to host the soiree at London's exclusive Raffles nightclub on Kings Road. The theme was Back to Black so naturally I wore a pin stripe white suit!
The night was full of drunken mishaps. Two of my favourite moments were when I did a speech to thank everyone for coming along to celebrate my own birthday and then proceeded to dance to Madonna's Justify My Love on a pole. Yes, I did slide down it.
I did have a few surprise guests throughout the evening to make it ever so showbiz. Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford was the first name to shock me there. He looks hot in real life and seemed really excitable to be out in a London club.
All the girls from the Closer office were swooning around him. My favourite Chace comments came from one friend who said: "I had my picture taken with him. He was so hot - but my flash didn't go off. So everyone thinks I'm lying about cuddling him."
Another girlfriend of mine, Charlotte, took Chace to the bar and kept stroking him and telling him they were made for each other. He looked scared.
Liz McClarnon from Atomic Kitten turned out with a nice handsome man on her arm and Mica Paris came after her babysitter arrived and danced with me to Neneh Cherry's Buffalo Stance.
Lisa Moorish and Sam Young span the tunes andAlex Best turned up and dropped off some lovely Molton Brown goodies for me. Sam Branson worked the room after just getting back from Antarctica with his dad!
All I can say is it was an amazing night and thank you to one and all for coming by!
