Rachel's secret millionaire boyfriend

Welsh beauty Rachel Rice may be acting like a carefree single girl inside the Big Brother house – but Closer can reveal she’s actually been dating a millionaire for the past two years.

Pals say Rachel, 24, has been keeping her 30-year-old lover carefully under wraps because she’s desperate to attract male admirers – and their votes – in a bid to win the show and scoop its £100,000 prize.

“Rachel’s really into her man, but she’s driven by fame and wants to win – whatever she
has to sacrifice,” said one friend, who hinted she may even fake a relationship with hunky chef Rex Newmark, 24, to keep viewers interested.

“She’ll do anything if she thinks it will make her more popular – she might even start
a romance with Rex.”

Rachel told friends that her wealthy boyfriend – who drives a Nissan 350Z sports car – was “no looker” when they first met, but the two soon became close.

“She told me that he wasn’t her usual ‘pretty boy’ type, but that he’s a really lovely person,” revealed a friend.

Former child actress Rachel – who appeared in Night Train To Venice with Hugh Grant – met her man through her ex-boyfriend Darryl Carter, a top rugby player for their local Cwmbran team.

Hunky Darryl broke Rachel’s heart when she was 18, after she discovered that he’d been cheating on her with other girls.

Friends also revealed that Rachel was bullied for being overweight when she was a pupil at Llanfrecfa Comprehensive school, but now works hard to keep in shape and is proud of her
slim size 8 body.

A source said: “At 14, Rachel was badly bullied about her body – the boys called her ‘thunder thighs’ and told her it was a shame her pretty face came with such a gigantic body.

“She comfort ate as a result and got even bigger, reaching a 16.

“Two years later, she rapidly lost weight to fit in by crash dieting and lost several dress sizes in a matter of months.”

Now Rachel works hard to maintain her figure by doing a 10-mile run each week and going to the gym five times, too.

A pal reveals: “Rachel’s very conscious about her body – she’s determined never to be
a size 16 again.”
