Kerry Katona

Kerry carries her step dad's ashes on her

Monday 07 July 2008

Closer really feels for grieving Kerry Katona, honestly. But don’t you think that carrying your dead father’s ashes in a pendant around your neck is a tiny bit, er, weird?

The mum-of-four is devastated after her stepfather Arnie Ferrier sadly passed away last month. Kerry flew out to Texas to attend his cremation and that’s where she bought the little gold cross pendant.

Kerry’s spokesman Max Clifford confirmed: “There is a place on the back that you can unscrew so she could place a tiny amount of Arnie’s ashes inside. Arnie wanted half his ashes to be left in Texas and half in the UK, so Kerry took a small amount as a keepsake for his children.”

Apparently the former Atomic Kitten singer also bought identical necklaces for Arnie’s three grown-up children. Closer is still torn whether it is actually quite sweet or just a little strange… what do you think?

RE: Kerry carries her step dad's ashes on her

It's down to personal choice, we all deal with grief in are own different way, so it isn't fair to say what is right or wrong for someone. Having her stepfather's ashes close to her might be a comfort. My mum past away 13 years ago & it isn't something you can just forget, i still miss her now. Kerry will learn to deal with her stepfathers death in her own time. So i would say just let her be!!
