Becks talks about missing England
Friday 11 July 2008
As if you hadn't been counting the days of sorrow, it's been a whole year since David Beckham and his oh-so-popular wife upped sticks and moved to LA and according to Becks they couldn't be happier.
In a new interview about the move and how it's affected his family Becks said: "We are really settled, I must admit. There’s not a single regret."
The football star goes on to say how great it is to be raising the profile of hs favourite game in a country not famed for its love of soccer. Becks also reveal that his three boys are perfectly happy and are beginning to sound like natives: “The kids are starting to get an American accent. They’re at school every day and learning different things about America. This is to be expected.”
So is there anything about England David misses (apart from his weekly does of gossip from Closer of course)? Yes, the food and booze. Becks said: "I will always miss England. I miss my family, friends and a good old English pub… I miss a good lager shandy and a Sunday lunch while watching football.”
We're going to try to ignore the rather unmanly implications of Becks sipping a shandy and focus instead on this rather dreamy pic of Becks we dug out of our extrensive stash. Any excuse eh?
