Is the Beckham's American dream over?
Wednesday 16 July 2008
It was just last week that David Beckham was singing LA’s praises and saying how happy he and his family were living there. But now we’re hearing from sources that things are not as wonderful as Posh and Becks would lead us to believe, and in fact both of them are fed up with their lack of popularity in the States.
According to sources close to the couple, Vics and Dave are annoyed that their plan to storm the USA hasn’t come off, and that the American public has not fallen madly in love with their eccentric ways. Now the couple are busy discussing where else they could move to that would give them more media attention.
One source said: “They are finding out that money can’t buy you good friends, publicity- or personal happiness.”
Posh is reportedly viewed more as a “hanger-on” to celebs than a star in her own right, while Beckham has been rocked by a string of allegations that he keeps perving on other women (erm…all men do that!).
“Posh and Becks planned to take over California but it hasn’t happened,” added the insider, “You could say their American dream is over.”
