Joss Stone the drama queen
Wednesday 06 August 2008
Closer is surprised that anyone would want to offer Joss Stone a role on TV after the extremely annoying and cringey experience that was the Cadbury Flake advert, but apparently the singer has been signed up to appear on BBC drama The Tudors.
Joss, 21, will play Henry VIII’s fourth wife Anne of Cleves, the daughter of a German aristocrat who was so ugly that the king had the marriage annulled after discovering she looked nothing like the portrait he’d seen (hahahahahaha).
A source said: “It’s not the most flattering role.” However, Closer thinks that Joss’ biggest challenge will be to lose her funny Anglo-American accent to sound like royalty.
Oh well, as long as she doesn’t start that annoying humming thing about flaky chocolate again…
