Michael Jackson has long been criticised for ruining his looks with extreme plastic surgery. But mother-of-three Mikki Jay is so in awe of the pop legend, she’s spent £8,000 to look like him.

To achieve Jacko’s chiselled looks, Mikki  – who earns around £120,000 a year as a Michael Jackson impersonator – has had two nose jobs, cheek implants and a chin implant, and she’s planning more surgery!

“People often mistake me for Michael in the street,” laughs Mikki, 39, who’s from St Helens, Merseyside. “But no one’s ever said anything negative.”

The divorcee first heard her idol’s music when she was nine years old, and loved it. “When Michael released his Bad album in 1987, people started saying I looked like him,” adds Mikki. “His skin was very pale, and because I was going through a goth phase, I’d wear lots of eyeliner, like him.

“I entered a local talent show dressed as Michael in 1991, and I won. I’ve never thought of it as a woman dressing up as a man – I just put on a costume. Because Michael has quite a feminine face, I’ve never been offended by the comparison.”

After this, biology student Mikki decided to turn her hobby into a part-time career. Soon she was getting regular bookings, donning Jacko’s famous trilby hat and white gloves and singing in his instantly recognisable style.

But it wasn’t enough for Mikki. She says: “People told me how similar I looked to Michael, but
I wanted more definition in my face. I wanted to perfect my act and figured surgery was the next step.”

In 1995, Mikki had the first of two £4,000 nose jobs. “I took a picture of Michael along to show the surgeon how I wanted my nose to look,” she says. “I was performing again three weeks later. Soon I was on stage every week, and things just spiralled.”

Even so, Mikki wasn’t happy with her nose and wanted more surgery. “Michael has a lovely nose, but mine was wider,” she says. This time, she found a surgeon who specialised in celebrity lookalikes – and she opted for cheek and chin implants, too.

Now, Mikki earns up to £1,700 a show and performs around four nights a week to audiences across the UK. In 2002, she got the chance to sing for the man himself at a London show celebrating the 20th anniversary of his hit album Thriller. She even met Jacko backstage.

“It was one of the proudest moments of my life. He was such a gentleman,” she says. “He sang along with me and blew me a kiss.”

Mikki’s home, which she shares with her three daughters, is filled with Jacko memorabilia. She has 25 different stage costumes, costing around £450 each. Her daughters often watch her shows,
as did her husband before they separated.

“He was very supportive,” Mikki says. “And my kids think their mum is cool!” As Jacko turns 50, Mikki says she hasn’t ruled out more surgery. “Just like my idol, I always feel there’s room for improvement.”

What a waste of money why would anyone want to look like him even he dont like hiself or he would not bother with changing hiself which is quite honestly disturbing

I really don't understand why anyone would WANT to look like Michael Jackson?! Still she makes £120,000 a year, that's impressive, even MJ doesn't seem to make that atm!

I actually think Jacko is great! What do i know im only 11 but i know all the things a 21 yr old should know. Its physically identical. But why didnt you spend it wisley girl ?!

Some of the comments on here are disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I bet none of you have even looked into Michael Jacksons life and you are all mocking and judging him.

He was not Wacko, he had a skin disease called vitaligo which is why his skin colour had to change. When he was a child his father would constantly bully him about his nose, tell him it was too big, he was too black and ugly. Im not surprised he has surgery to make it smaller.

The media made his life hell with all their stupid stories and lies, labelling him wacko jacko. They forget that he was a person who had feelings just like any other human being.
Michael was beautiful inside and out. Its just a shame he could never see it after all the crap his father put in his head.

To the person who left a comment saying I would kill myself if I looked like him, get a life you sad vain self obsessed cow, you seriously need to get help if you would kill yourself because you didnt look 'good enough'

Not everybody is going to like you.... that's fine. Michael Jackson was a human being. With flaws. Like us all. But he had a heart and feelings, thats what some people tend to forget.

He did so much for this world. But still there were people who doubted him. Sometimes I think he was to good for this world... For some Michael was a mystery, for some he was "Wacko Jacko", for some michael was just an great artist, a great dancer. But Michael was so much more than that... There will always be just one Michael Jackson and he will always be remembered. Michael is a legend and he will go down in history.

Please people, look into things before you judge.
As Michael said '..dont' judge anyone unless you've spoken one on one to him'

Mikki I dont blame you, I think its great you got to meet him, It kills me that i'm never going to meet him :(
