RE: Fern holds on to her Ryvita contract
Yay for Fern. I'm pleased. She had a gastric band fitted but she still ate healthily and did exercise, it's not like she did nothing at all, so her weight loss is still partly down to healthy eating and doing exercise. It's not like having a gastric band fitted is an easy procedure with no risks!
Good on you Fern, I still love you

RE: Fern holds on to her Ryvita contract
i agree it was a personal choice, about being happy. she wanted to be thinner to be happy. so what if she had a bypass.
i think fern looked better when she was fatter. less wrinkles, but as i always maintain its about being happy. lets hope she is. and that she is recognised for her charm rather than weightloss now.

I have lost 3st 3lbs the hard way , still got 4st 8lbs to go . If i had the courage would have asked for the gastric band op. Good luck to Fern , she looks great , and will have a new lease on life .

RE: Fern holds on to her Ryvita contract
Even with a gastric band you still have to diet - you cant go on scoffing chocolate and cake - it's not a quick fix - it's a steady weightloss and you have to have small portions and be careful what you eat as you need to make sure you get the right amount of protein and carbs etc. so it's not easy. To the people who think she's cheated you couldn't be further from the truth. I think she looks great and good for her - now leave the poor woman alone.

RE: Fern holds on to her Ryvita contract
It`s obvious Fern felt pessurised to lose weight and felt she did not have the time to lose only with Ryvita but had to have a booster.

Dieting is never easy, but why didn't she inform the public that she had a major stomach operation to loose weight as well as telling everyone she was dieting and exercising. Its still deception.

RE: Fern holds on to her Ryvita contract
Why should Fern have to tell anybody about her op?As long as she told her family of the risks why was it anyone else's buisness!
She'd obviously tried the 'normal' way to weight loss, but for her own reasons decieded to have the op.
I exercise daily by going for long bike rides, and i haven't lost much weight, more toned up,but if i was as rich as fern, and was very overweight, and it wasn't a risk i'd probaby have the op too!
I can't see what the fuss was about,Fern just wanted to keep her private life private!!
