Jordan is Britain's best-loved mum

Wednesday 05 November 2008

Katie Prize has been voted Britain's Best-Loved Celebrity Mum in a web poll that quizzed 3,000 mothers across the nation.

The model and business woman beat other famous yummy mummies like Myleene Klass, who came second, and Angelina Jolie, in third place, to the title.

It is believed that her caring approach to raising disabled son Harvey, six,  that swung the vote for her. Jordan also has another son, Junior, three, and a baby daughter, Princess Tiaami, one, to add to her brood.

The busy mother-of-three revealed yesterday that she and husband Peter Andre were preparing to try for another baby next year.

Kathryn Crawford, of TheBabyWebsite.com, said: “She gives hope to families coping with illness.”

RE: Jordan is Britain's best-loved mum

Im not saying Angelina Jolie isn't a good mum,but it was only a couple of weeks ago Closer did a feature on her for buying her son Maddox a knife!
Im surprised Victoria Beckham didn't come in the top three!

No wonder this country is raising a bunch of idiots - look at the example! Good mum - OMG!! Are you all INSANE?? Next - you'll be telling me that Kerry Katona has beaten her in a couple of months time - her kids are a WAGE

RE: Jordan is Britain's best-loved mum

She is a good mum,you only have to look at how she deals with Harveys condition, alot of people in her persission would have had him aborted or adopted, atleste she didn't turn her back on him like the tosser who is his biological father!
she's maybe not a good role model in some of the things she gets upto, but you cant slate her for being not being a great mum.

RE: Jordan is Britain's best-loved mum

I'm afraid it takes a little more than botox lunches and boob jobs every other month to make a good mother. Anybody with millions in the bank, an army of nannies and all the help you could need would make motherhood so much easier. Yes, she has had to, and continues to deal with Harveys disabilities, but normal mums have to deal with disabled children everyday, minus the hired help and millions of pounds that help her be able to afford top medical care and state of the art equipment required for Harvey. All the woman ever does is talk about herself. She's vain, spoilt, cold and boring.

RE: Jordan is Britain's best-loved mum

Hmmm, if selling every aspect of your childrens lives to the highest bidder without giving the poor little mites a choice makes you the nation's best Mum, then i think we all need our heads reading. As far as Harvey is concerned, the poor kid's got his disability plastered all over the press on a daily basis. Having cameras shoved in his face, when he is as fragile as she says he is, is not something a good mother should allow. I know i would want my children to have the best chance of growing up in the real world so they wouldn't develop a warped outlook on life. The best celebrity mother's are the one's who actively keep their children away from the media. You don't see the likes of Tess Daly and Davina McCall forcing their kids into our faces do you? I reckon in 15 years, we'll be reading how Jordan's kids are struggling with drink and drugs and wild partying, in fact, i'd put money on it.
Jordan has made an absolute fortune out of those children. Any self respecting mum would be ashamed if they behaved in this way, and she should too.

RE: Jordan is Britain's best-loved mum

Yes, Katie has had problems with drinks and drugs.....but...........she got passed that. She's really made something of herself...ok so she has body issues-well we all do so that's not a sin. I'm sure if non celeb mums had a chance to have a little nip and tuck here and there they wud jump at the chance. She hasn't made money out of the children! She was loaded b4 she even had them!! And she's not showing Harvey on t.v because she's a 'bad mother' she's showing how difficult it can be living with a child with a disability. Loads of Mum's really admire her and take advice from her with how she deals with him.
And can I just say, having been a nanny myself, so many parents need an extra pair of hands but no-one judges them for not spending time with their children. If Katie and Peter spent all there time at home, looking after their kids they would loose their family home and wouldn't be able to support their children how they want to. They have to work like the rest of us. So just lay off of her.

RE: Jordan is Britain's best-loved mum

Whether she has had surgery or not is nothing to do with her being a good or bad mother, just as whether or not she has body issues is nothing to do with it. I don't see how any of that can be of any importance to this subject whatsoever. There are many many people out there who have children with disabilities. People who aren't multi-millionaires, and people who don't have huge houses and staff to help them out. The vast majority of these people cope absolutely fine as they are. Don't be patronising enough to suggest that people need to watch Jordan on t.v. in order to know how to look after their own children. Yes it is extremely difficult caring for someone as severely disabled as Harvey is, i am not questioning that. But i maintain my point that pointing cameras at the poor boy will absolutely not help him in any way. The only thing this does is help provide the Price/Andre's with nice fees to boost their bank balances. As does everytime they see fit to reveal all the sordid details about their private lives to the media. Oh yes, and everytime she does an interview and sees fit to slag someone off and rip them to bits, yeah she really is a lovely girl........
Fortunately for them though, there are plenty of us who just can't get enough. More's the pity.

RE: Jordan is Britain's best-loved mum

About the body issue thing Leanne, I was just sticking up for her after sarie75 said her piece. I don't think it has an relevance to this subject but I don't think she should be put down just for having plastic surgery. Please don't label me as patronizing, you do not know me and you don't know her. I wasn't patronizing anyone. All I did was leave my comment with my opinion (like ur meant to do on this) and I wanted to stick up for her. And also most celebs reveal details of their private lives, not just her.

RE: Jordan is Britain's best-loved mum

Are you not contradicting yourself a little bit Leannebaxter?....
Your slating jordan for slagging off people and ripping them to bits, yet YOUR slagging Jordan off and ripping her to bits for being a bad mum!
POT,KETTLE,BLACK!
And as for saying the vast majority of people cope on there own with kids with disabilitys, yes they do,but only because they haven't got the same amount in the bank as Jordan,if half the 'normal' mums had her money im sure they'd have nannie's and paid help too!

RE: Jordan is Britain's best-loved mum

I watched a few episodes of the first series and gave up after the third one. She is so arrogant to the point of annoying. She is totally up herself and gets away with it. The way she treats Peter is totally disgusting and how or why he lets her get away with it is beyond me. Yes she works hard for her money so what so do millions of other people. So she works and has kids to look after - well hello welcome to the real world, yet again so do millions of other people. And the reason why she has her fingers in so many pies is not cos shes clever and a great business woman its cos shes so insecure and always out to prove herself. What she doesnt realise is that nobody bloody gives a toss

RE: Jordan is Britain's best-loved mum

She is the worst possible role model for children - treating her husband like a lap-dog and making him a constant point of ridicule (therefore teaching her children that this is an acceptable way to behave to someone you are supposed to love), using plastic surgery in an inappropriate way to morph her body into a more than obvious "sex doll" image (teaching her children that it is not Ok to love your body just the way it is and that portraying a visually sexual image is the only way to get ahead in life), craving the attention of tabloid newspapers, media and millions of people she does not know (should individuals require the adulation of people they do not know? Surely acceptance/attention from your friends and family is enough?), being constantly snapped in the tabliods wearing clothing resembling stripper-style outfits (if you had children, would you be happy with them wearing her "sexy school girl" spandex outfit? Keep that for the bedroom), aiming verbal abuse at any female she sees as a threat (children should be taught to use their brain and initiative to out-smart anyone who poses a threat, and also to be accepting and tolerant of others), using her disabled child as a "cash-cow" and a sympathy vote when she should be focused on treatment/rehabilitation for him (there are mothers who are sadly having coping with more serious disabilities that Jordan is).

How she was voted as the "Best Mum" is BEYOND me - what is wrong with the British public?
