Angelina gets emotional

Brangelina are currently gracing London with their presence to promote Ange's new film, The Changeling.

And although we know that Ange hasn't been all that popular since she hooked up with Brad Pitt, we couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for her when she got all emotional at a press conference yesterday.

Ange got teary as she remembered the passion and gentleness of her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who died of cancer in 2007. The stunning actress said that she chose the role of Christine Collins in The Changeling because the character reminded her of her beloved mother.
 
Fighting back the tears, Angelina explained: “She was very much Christine Collins. She was really sweet and was never angry - she couldn’t swear to save her life.

But when it came to her kids, she was really fierce and so this is very much her, her story. She was the woman I related to, who had that elegance and strength through just knowing what was right.”

The Changeling tells the true story of Christine Collins, whose son was kidnapped in 1928.  When the police return a boy to her, Christine is convinced that he is not her son, but after confronting the city authorities she is vilified as an unfit mother and branded delusional.

Angelina has previously described in interviews how hard it was to play the role, because being a mother herself, she could relate to the trauma of losing a child.
