'We can't break up - we're a business'

Their marriage has been rocked by constant rows and bickering – but Peter Andre has admitted to friends that the pair will stay together to expand their “brand.”

Jordan – real name Katie Price – and Peter are set to move to LA for three months, and have made a pact to make their marriage work so that they can boost their multimillion-pound fortune.

Jordan, 30, is already rumoured to be worth £30million. And just last week it was announced that she and hubby Pete, 35, will receive £1million each to star in a 12-episode US TV show starting in April, called Katie & Peter: Stateside.

Pals close to the couple – who have three children, Harvey, six, Junior, three, and Princess Tiáamii, one – say it has reconfirmed to them how much they can earn together.

A source said: “Jordan and Pete know that together they are worth millions. They’re a business and can earn a fortune. If they separated they would be worth less – especially Pete.

“They’ve been rowing for a while and have come close to considering a break from each other on several occasions. But with the opportunity to crack America, they’re trying to put their differences aside and focus on success.”

The source added: “Jordan is obsessed about making them bigger than brand Beckham. She already feels that as a couple they could be bigger than Posh and Becks in the States.”

Since getting together in 2004, Jordan and Peter have made four fly-on-the-wall documentary series, with their most recent ITV2 show, Katie & Peter: The Next Chapter, earning them £2million.

In addition to their TV deals, they make a fortune from magazine interviews, autobiographies, perfumes and fashion lines. But after a trip to the Maldives last month to smooth out tensions, pals say the couple will have their work cut out trying to stop rowing.

“Jordan and Pete got on better in the Maldives, but since then they’ve been arguing all the time and Jordan’s been getting irritated by everything Pete says and does,” the source said.

“He’s there as a father to her kids, a business partner and someone to discuss things with, but she feels the magic has gone. Pete knows if they’re going to stay together, they’ll have to make a huge effort.

“Pete’s really excited about their new US show and hopes it might build bridges with Katie.” Despite their problems, Peter and Jordan have said they’re keen to expand their family next year, and it’s even rumoured that Jordan could be pregnant already.

Last week, she cancelled the launch of her new perfume Besotted in Newcastle, and failed to show up for her and Pete’s slot on ITV1’s This Morning.

The source said: “Katie threw up two mornings in a row last week and has been gorging on chocolate biscuits like she did when she was pregnant with Junior. If she is pregnant, it could be the perfect way to bring her and Peter back together.”

Just last month she admitted in a magazine interview she wanted more kids, saying: “Hopefully I will get pregnant next year as we are going to start trying.”
