Alexandra wins the X Factor

OMG - just how brilliant was the X Factor final on Saturday?

Closer literally loved every minute of it and we couldn't be happier that Alexandra Burke won! How amazing was her performance with Beyonce?

The show was an emotional rollercoaster from the start what with Alexandra and Cheryl taking it in turns to break down and moving performances from all finalists!

In a move of sheer genius, Simon Cowell brought back the most, er, memorable hopefuls from four years' worth of auditions, including the chicken factory worker with a penchant for Aqua's Barbie Girl and the scary granny who famously told off Simon for laughing during her audition.

We also cannot wait to get our hands on the official X Factor song, a cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, which is one of the most beautiful songs ever (and one that always makes us cry a little because it was played when Marissa died on The O.C., but that's a different story).

Meanwhile, Alexandra's mentor Cheryl has advised her to stay away from men to focus on her career.

“Cheryl told me to keep away from men. She wants me to concentrate on music without any distractions. There will be no romance – I’m all about the music.” says Alex. We can't wait!

The love ban doesn't seem to apply for runners up though, it seems, as little Eoghan and Diana were spotted smooching after he came third in the contest.
