These shockingly thin pictures of Lindsay Lohan stopped the Closer Online team in our tracks this morning.

The actress looked gaunt as she shopped in New York with her mum and sister, her skimpy cotton vest doing little to hide her frail looking shoulder blades.

The star, whose weight has yo-yo’d dramatically over the years, had been looking healthier in recent months.

Known for her hourglass figure, La Lohan had even been seen flaunting her sexy curves in figure-hugging dresses by the likes of Herve Leger.

So what is this dramatic weight loss down to? We know that things haven't exactly been a bed of roses lately for Lindsay Lohan and girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

The pair have had a series of full-blown rows and their chums are worried that the stress could be getting to LiLo.

Urrgh,thats horrible,nothing nice what so ever about these pictures!
You can see her hip bone sticking out!
She looks ill,she needs to see someone and quick.If she's starved herself to look like that,then she looks terrible,if its stress thats caused her to get like that then she needs a doctor asap!!

she looks horrid! too thin!

she needs to put some weight on. shes not bein a good role model for teens that want to be like her, bein this thin will make her fans want to be as thin as her, & we dont want that do we??

this type of dramatic weight loss is down to her emotional state and i feel really sorry for the celebs who repeatedly do this. Lindsay needs a 'psychological shoulder' to lean on and some real help. Her body will eppnd up suffering later in life like so many other 'starving' celebrities.
