TV supremo Simon Cowell has slammed rumours that he is gay after speculation about his sexuality went into overdrive since he split from Terri Seymour.
Simon, 49, said: "I am not gay. But in this business, if you were it wouldn't matter.
"It is not exactly unusual to be gay in the music business or the TV business."
The X Factor boss broke up with long-term girlfriend Terri, 36, last year and has been single ever since. But the busy producer claims his hectic working schedule is to blame.
"I don't think marriage would suit me or the person I would marry. I am happy single. I am friends with all my exes and I enjoy their company, but I keep crazy hours."
How about you? Would you have questioned Simon's sexual preferences? Closer thinks that he has a raring crush on Chery Cole, if you ask us!

why is it anyone else's business if he's gay or not. even if he was gay then it wouldn't matter! & just because he's been single for a while doesn't mean he's gay! he's busy with other things, & maybe he doesn't want a partner at the minute. people need to stop spreading rumours about celebrities, they need to get in with their own life, IF they have one!

How sad that just because he's single some idiots think he's gay!
He works hard and probably hasn't the time for a relationship,why are people bothered about him being single!

There is no way he is gay! I say this not just because of the remarks he makes to women with regard to their attractiveness, but because of the way he LOOKS at them! You can't put things like that on. He's as straight as they come.

There's nothing gay about Simon Cowell. These rumours have been doing the rounds for years. Maybe he just gets fed up with the women he gets with taking his time and attention away from his work, which he seems to love, and look where he's got through sheer hard work and dedication, he's one of the most powerful men in showbiz.
