RE: Madonna to play royal mistress
Why does this woman think she can do absolutely anything she pleases. She's already proved countless times that she cannot act, is not an actress and will never be one. Stick to singing and being the selfish diva you are.

For Gods sake so what if shes fifty, she looks better than a lot of people in their thirties. Why should she give up what she enjoys doing and what is after all her livelihood. Yes she may not be a good actress but no-one can deny that she is a great entertainer musically. I just dont understand this whole british mentality of belittling people, or putting somedown. And before anyone says anything im british myself. We as a nation are so afraid of praise or compliments. Yes we are all entitled to our opinions but so much of it is so unnecessary and plain nasty it makes me angry.

RE: Madonna to play royal mistress
Maybe i'm being harsh on her because i've just read Life with my sister Madonna by her brother Christopher Ciccone. Although there are two sides to every story this book really does not bear her in a good light. I always thought of her as a selfish, greedy, control freak and read the book thinking it may change my mind. My first opinion of her was correct and this book confirms it.

RE: Madonna to play royal mistress
You said it, two sides to every story. What type of brother writes a "tell all" book about his sister? She is not a criminal for goodness sake! She is an extremely successful entertainer and I think the sole reasoning behind the book publishing was for him to make money. I really would not take the book's content as truthful, controversy sells, not the truth/reality.
Does anyone recall "Evita" where she won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Oscar?

RE: Madonna to play royal mistress
I'm not naive, i more than realise that her brother will have made a handsome profit from writing a tell all book. It doesn't bear him in the greatest light either, he comes across as someone more than willing to take humiliation and be a complete lap dog in order to live off the back of his sisters name. According to him, his writing the book was in part suggested by his therapist as a way dealing with his sisters control over him, (not the way you or i may behave.) All i'm saying is that after reading the book, i think even less of her now than i did before. my opinion.
