Crazy celebrity diets

Monday 16 February 2009

By now most of our New Year health kicks are long gone, but how is Hollywood staying trim?

With the need to look super hot for both the red carpet and pesky paparazzi snaps, the A-List is known to go to extreme lenght to maintain their slimline figures!

There’s always a new fad diet that gets the stars into a frenzy and we can hear about the Atkins diet until we’re blue in the face!

But here are some of the more unorthodox diets that it’s unlikely we’ll be adopting any time soon!

Algae and seaweed smoothies

Supporters such as Victoria Beckham are drinking up to 2 pints per day of the stuff, bleurgh!

Baby Food

Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Anniston both tried it, eating a combination of baby foods as they only contain totally pure ingredients and are packed full of vitamins.

Maple syrup and cayenne pepper

Beyonce famously survived on a weird mix of maple syrup, lemon juice, pepper and water for 10 days to slim down for Dreamgirls. Crazy In Love and crazy in dieting?

Caveman Diet

Elizabeth Hurley, desperate to fit into her wedding dress, followed this plan which is based on having only one meal a day that could not be cooked above 48°C.

Red Bull Diet

Paris Hilton caused a stir at top American restaurant Nobu by ordering only Red Bull and water for the entire meal.

Boiled eggs:

Renee Zellwegger is reported to have survived on the set of Cold Mountain eating nothing but boiled eggs.

Coconut Diet

Jennifer Aniston replaced all fats in her cuisine with coconut oil to help increase metabolism and rapidly lose weight.

Facial Analysis Diet
:

This bizarre diet, which is based upon food intolerances and sleep patterns, was used by Kate Winslet to shed her baby weight.

The Shoe Diet

Don’t worry, they don’t make you eat your favourite pair of Jimmy Choos! This diet is based on a reward system. Stars like America Ferrera are encouraged to reward themselves with a new pair of shoes with every weight loss goal they meet.

The Full-fat Diet:

This sounds completely backwards for the weight-conscious, but Sarah Jessica Parker and Teri Hatcher are said to be hooked on this one. By eating full-fat foods in moderation the body speeds up the metabolism of cholesterol and improves sex drive!

RE: Crazy celebrity diets

Well if magazines didnt focus so much on how much celebs weigh or what they eat maybe the celebs themselves wouldnt be so obsessed. And if anyones noticed its only women that are so obsessed with this tiring and now boring subject, men dont give a toss. Please please give us some real news or interesting articles instead of filling your pages with all this crap. I for one dont care whether someone is a size 6 or size 26.
