Shocking picture of Rhianna's brutal injuries

With a swollen, bloody lip, two black eyes and bruises on her forehead, a picture of the brutal injuries suffered by Rihanna has been leaked.

The shocking photo - obtained by US website TMZ - appears to show the star covered in cuts and bruises following the alleged attack by her boyfriend Chris Brown.

Police confirmed the photo "has the appearance" of one taken during a domestic violence investigation.

Rihanna, who is 21 today, has been lying low in her native Barbados following the alleged attack the morning of the Grammys.

R&B star Chris, 19, was arrested for making criminal threats, but has yet to face charges.

He released a statement on last week saying he was "sorry and saddened...over what transpired."

'sorry and saddened' that's what they all say until the next time and then the next. A high profile case of domestic violence like this should result in a high profile prison sentence to show everyone that no matter who you are domestic violence will not be tolerated.

i totally agree with sue_ann. he should get a proper punishment.. to show people who abuse their partners that's not its right & they won't get away with it

I agree with all above comments,the lousy swine wants locking up,he say's he's sorry,yeh right,only sorry he got caught,if he's done it once he'l do it again!
I hope someone does the same to him,cos i gotta feeling he'l get away with it because he can afford top briefs!!
If he does get away with a slap on the wrist whats that telling others!
Lock the spineless pig up for a very long time with "proper" hard men and lets see how he likes it!!!!

The only thing with high profile cases is that money usually helps to get them off. The only thing i hope that doesnt happen is that Rihannas PR dont use this publicity to gain inappropriate media attention to up her profile. She should use it wisely to make people aware that domestic violence can happen to anyone and that money and fame do not buy you happiness, love and security - hope all those wanabes out there take note!!!

disgusting anybody can do this, yet as he is famous i'm sure he'll be let off, until he does it again and then perhaps they'll consider something, which will probably only be a fine he could afford 100 times over.
i hope he doesn't get away with this because nobody deserves to be treated like this in a million years. Chris needs to sort his life out and perhaps look again at the injuries HE caused to rihanna, and realise apologsing does nothing. Rihanna, look after yourself, lovely.
