Jack's 'threat to stab cabbie'
Tuesday 03 March 2009
Jade Goody’s new husband Jack Tweed threatened to stab a taxi driver who asked for the fare in advance, a court heard.
Jack grabbed cabbie Stephen Wilkins around the neck while he was driving his cab at 50mph, magistrates in Epping were told yesterday.
The cab driver, who is in his 50s, said he was attacked after picking up Jack - and three other people - outside a club in Epping in the early hours of May 5 last year.
Jack, who married Jade just over a week ago, denies assault.
When questioned by police, Jack said he was drunk and could not remember the incident but added: "I wouldn't do that to a cab driver."
The trial continues today.
