Beaten Rihanna won't press charges

Rihanna has told police she does not want to press charges against boyfriend Chris Brown for allegedly battering her last month.

According to police, the 21-year-old is refusing to help them with their investigation after rekindling her romance with the R&B star.

It is alleged that Chris beat Barbados-born Rihanna in a row following a party the night before the Grammy Awards on February 8.

Shocking pictures emerged of her injuries including bruises to her eyes, nose and cheek and a swollen mouth.

The couple are reported to have been reunited during a stay at hip hop star P Diddy's Miami home.

She might not want to press charges but detectives may still have a case against 19-year-old Chris and will hand their file to the Los Angeles County District Attorney later this week.

A police source said: “Rihanna says she doesn’t want to testify against him. She has had a change of heart and doesn’t want the case to proceed.

“However detectives are still building their case based on what she originally told them and accounts of witnesses.

“If the DA decides they have enough evidence, they can proceed without Rihanna’s testimony.”

erm.. is she daft?? he could do it again!! what if he hurts her more next time? she'll be regrettin not testifying the first time round. & i still cant believe that she is back with him! i would never get bk with him if i were her!!

I agree with Racheal he's hit her once next time (and there will be a next time) will be all the more easier for him,she needs to wake up and smell the coffee cause he is'nt changing.

Silly girl, people are not as sympathetic the next time round once you have gone back to them, I KNOW. I hope the DA goes ahead he must not get away with it, its amazing how sweet they become with you given the chance when they face prosecution once that threat is removed and they have got away with it they slip back into their ways.

The girl is mad!...I know its hard when you love someone,you believe all the crap about how sorry they are and they won't do it again,but they do,and i should know!!...and it gets worse and worse!
what starts off as a slap here,and black eye there soons turns into broken bones and embarrising visits to hospital!
I hope he still gets charged with GBH to show him and other lowlife scum they can't get away with it!
And i really hope he gets treated the same by a "proper hard man"!
He deserves all thats coming to him!

sorry to say but they did it onece so they can do it again i have no sympathy for any of them now not even rihanna the silly fool next time he cud beat her to death its so stupid seriously
