Tom Cruise is said to be turning his back on five-star luxuries and is planning to take his family camping in the great outdoors of America.
The actor reportedly fell in love with Mother Nature while he was working in Brazil earlier this year and is said to be taking wife Katie and daughter Suri on a no-frills holiday when he finishes promoting his latest movie Valkyrie at the end of the month.
And Katie sure seems to be excited about 'roughing it'. She said: "We love the outdoors. Once when we were camping Tom made his pasta carbonara for me. He knows exactly how to do it."
The couple want Suri, arguably the world's most adorable celeb sprog, to experience as much normality as possible - despite being born into Hollywood royalty.
So far, so sweet! But an insider has revealed that the family is unlikely to be travelling alone. The source said: "They'll be accompanied by a friend from the church of Scientology, as Tom never likes to be too far away from his religion."
Ah, Tom, you almost managed to sound normal there for a second. How about taking a holiday from religion for once?

I don't know why people have a problem with Tom so what if hes into another religion. I think they are great together and are obviously in love.

Yeh i agree,he gets alot of bad press for his religion,but its his life and if their both happy who is anyone to judge!!

Exactly thats what I mean. I certainly dont let the media make up my mind on what I should think about someone just because of whats written, more than half of it is a load of bull anyway. A friend of a friend worked as a nanny for a high profile celeb couple and she saw first hand that most of the stories in papers and mags about them were made up rubbish. Ive loved Tom right from the brat pack days and still do. They say hes controlling but I bet you any money shes the one who wears the trousers lol
